D1.2: ACCOMPLISH Compliance Foundations &
Extendable Models – Draft Version
This deliverable defines the compliance foundations and extendable policy models for the ACCOMPLISH project, focusing on the automated assessment and certification of Data and AI operations. The document bridges the gap between complex legal frameworks and technical implementation by introducing a structured methodology for formulating compliance requirements.
Key contributions include:
- Regulatory Refinement: A detailed mapping of relevant EU regulations—including the GDPR, AI Act, and Data Act—across the project’s four primary demonstrators: Automotive, Aviation, Energy, and Robotics/Manufacturing.
- Compliance Requirement Methodology: A granular approach to breaking down legal provisions into measurable “compliance indicators” and evidence-based elements.
- Synchronization Strategy (MSRP): The introduction of the Methodology for Synchronization Between Requirements and Policy Model, a recursive process that ensures technical policy models accurately reflect evolving legal mandates.
- Proof-of-Concept Policy Models: Initial technical drafts of policy models using Open Digital Rights Language (ODRL) and Semantic Web technologies, specifically applied to key articles of the GDPR.
- Technology Radar Update: An analysis of the RegTech (Regulatory Technology) landscape, identifying five primary trends—such as AI implementation and real-time predictive compliance—and positioning the ACCOMPLISH framework within this evolving wave.
