The ACCOMPLISH consortium is proud to announce the official release of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for its groundbreaking integrated framework. This early release delivers the core technical foundations of the ACCOMPLISH Toolkit and ACCOMPLISH Platform, providing an end-to-end system designed to automate the compliance assessment and certification of Data and AI operations. In September, the alpha release of the integrated Platform & Toolkit will be available for testing and validation by early adopters across four key demonstration hubs.
As European businesses navigate complex legislative frameworks such as the AI Act, GDPR, and the Data Act, they require robust technological solutions to ensure ongoing adherence. The ACCOMPLISH MVP answers this need by operationalizing the “compliance-by-design” principle. By embedding continuous regulatory checks directly into Data and AI pipelines from their inception, the framework allows organisations to proactively manage risks rather than relying on retroactive audits.
A Scalable, Dual-Layer Architecture for Data Sovereignty and Governance To balance strict data privacy with centralized regulatory oversight, the MVP is structured around a highly interoperable, dual-layer topology:
- The ACCOMPLISH Toolkit (Local/Edge): Deployed securely on-premise or at the edge, this operational engine manages data ingestion, pre-processing, and AI/ML model execution. It empowers organisations to ensure that sensitive raw data remains fully secured within their operational boundaries, guaranteeing data sovereignty.
- The ACCOMPLISH Platform (Cloud): A centralized cloud hub that manages the end-to-end workflow of compliance assessments, recommendation issuance, and final certification.
Key Innovations Ready for Demonstrator Testing The MVP release brings a suite of high-value, functional capabilities designed for early evaluation:
- The Compliance Digital Passport (CDP): An immutable registry that acts as the single source of truth for the compliance lifecycle of datasets, AI models, systems, and organizations. Supported by a Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), it ensures that all assessment outcomes and certifications are stored in a tamper-evident, traceable manner for external regulators.
- LLM-Driven Recommendation Service: A cognitive interpretation layer utilizing a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) framework to bridge the gap between technical failures and legal language. It translates complex errors into clear, human-understandable explanations and actionable remediation plans.
- Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) Validation: While the system automates heavy compliance assessments, it strictly enforces a mandatory human-in-the-loop validation gate, ensuring that domain experts review and approve complementary compliance verdicts before they are persisted.
- Advanced AI & Data Ops: The toolkit integrates robust capabilities for continuous AI model observability, bias detection, high-quality synthetic data generation, and energy footprint assessments.
Empowering Early Adopters Through Rapid Experimentation The ACCOMPLISH MVP represents a strategic milestone for the project, establishing a baseline designed to foster rapid experimentation and continuous refinement. By deploying the Toolkit and Platform within the operational environments of the four demonstration hubs, the project will gather critical, real-world user feedback to steer future iterations and ensure the technology meets the practical demands of the industry.
